Steven Spielberg, lots of nostalgia, lots of CGI, and a villain that resembles David Miscavige.
The movie was good, and if you like video games- it’s for you.

The newest movie from the Marvel Cinematic Universe is Black Panther. The character was introduced in Civil War, and to be honest I didn’t remember his story and did not re-watch Civil War in preparation. I also had no idea what Black Panther was all about from the comics. It was fun to see the lore sprawl out in front of me. The movie is set in a fictional African country called Ukanda, where technology has advanced much further than the rest of the world because of a metal called vibranium. Ukanda cloaks their society and poses as a third world country to protect itself from the rest of the world.

The movie is good because there is likeable & believable characters, including the villain. At a certain point you question whether or not the villain should be able to carry out his plan- kind of like when you’re watching Negan battle Rick in The Walking Dead.

I’m assuming it’s near the end of its theatrical run, so I don’t think there’s a need to run out and catch it in theaters. A rental will do you just fine, but do watch it. Because it was good.
