Truth or Dare (2018)

Premise: College kids go on Spring Break to Mexico. One of them meet a weird guy at the bar who eventually invites them to some old abandoned church. They play truth or dare. Some weird supernatural shit starts happening when they get home and they have to continue to play. Only now it’s play FOR REAL or die.
My 20-year-old self: Oh wow this was so cool. Some death scenes were bad-ass and Olivia is a fox.
My 38-year-old-now self: Meh. Trope after trope. Characters were somewhat believable (also sort of annoying) and the plot was ridiculously predictable. Nice twist at the very end though. Didn’t see that one coming. Maybe the FOUR screenwriters had to get together and decide on a really good ending.
I didn’t have an awful time. Some inconsiderate people in the theater wouldn’t stop talking so that didn’t help but the movie itself was ok. No need to see it before it’s available to rent. If you liked Final Destination, get ready for pretty much the same movie (and they made like 8 of those).
